Practice Supervisor

Job Overview The Practice Supervisor works in conjunction with practice management to supervise the day‑to‑day functions of the department(s) or clinic(s). This position typically supervises 5 to 30 caregivers. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a comprehensive scheduling system for all caregivers. Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources. Provide regular check‑ins and coaching sessions to caregivers for professional development. Oversee the orientation process for new hires, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Design and implement ongoing training programs to enhance caregiver skills. Participate in the recruitment and selection process of caregivers. Implement corrective actions when necessary, in line with Intermountain Health policies. Foster a workplace culture that aligns with the Intermountain Fundamentals of Care. Encourage a patient‑centered approach in all practice operations. Promote teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement among caregivers. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, supervise, and work independently on projects. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word‑processing, spreadsheets, and advanced applications (database and/or presentations). Strong negotiating skills and financial management skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in a related field. Previous leadership experience, preferably in an ambulatory outpatient clinic environment. Experience developing relationships with physicians. Dynamic leadership that can gain the trust and respect of physicians, staff, and peers. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, documents, and monitors; identify equipment and supplies; assess customer needs; frequent interactions that require verbal communication and listening; manual dexterity for complex and delicate equipment; frequent computer use for typing and accessing information. Location Bountiful Clinic, Bountiful, Utah. Working Hours 40 hours per week. Salary $25.39 – $40.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
