Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night 3x12-Hour Shift (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to provide care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery, managing high-risk situations as they arise. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in various labor and delivery procedures and possess the necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile vaginal exams and monitor fetal heart rates.
• Circulate for Cesarean sections and assist during vaginal deliveries.
• Administer medications including antihypertensives and magnesium sulfate as necessary.
• Provide care for high-risk antepartum patients and perform cervical cerclage as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications are required; AWHONN Intermediate certification is mandatory, AWHONN Advanced is preferred.
• California RN license must be in hand.
• Previous experience in large hospital settings is highly preferred.
