System Integrator Technician

Responsibilities Interprets data and installs, tests, maintains, and repairs various types of electronic equipment and related devices, including electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, personal computers, and measuring and controlling equipment. Applies expertise in programming procedures to complex programs: recommends redesign, investigates and analyzes program requirements, develops programming specifications, plans programming actions, and solves programming problems. Develops, modifies, and maintains complex programs; designs and implements interrelations of files and records within programs to fit the overall project design. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of four (4) years of experience with electronics or electronic control systems, or completion of two (2) years of formal training. Working knowledge of software including Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, RSLinx, Intellection, Microsoft Excel, Logic Master, Logix, API, and AI. Working knowledge of Ladder Logic with the ability to troubleshoot, modify, and program. Ability to wire and integrate field devices into various PLCs and program PLCs to accept and respond to those devices. Knowledge of field devices such as valves, flow meters, transmitters, process control equipment, motor pump control circuits, level indicators, bubbler, and other analog and digital devices. Possession of required tools of the trade. Valid state driver’s license. Wearing hard‑toed safety shoes that meet ASTM F2413‑05 standards. Successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must continually meet access requirements to all areas of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Compensation $37.08 per hour.
