Position: ER RN

Shift Requirements:

• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30)
• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (06:00 - 18:30)

Description:

This role is open to first-time travelers. The ER RN will be expected to float between units as per the needs of the facility. Weekend work will be required, but no more than every other weekend. Block schedules are not necessary.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Previous Charge Experience: 1.5 years
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Skills Required:
  
  
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
  • Central line care/management
  • Continuous IV sedation
  • IV vasopressors
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
  • Care of Ventilated Patients
  • Isolation Precautions/PPE
  • Triage

Additional Information:

• Interdisciplinary Support: Interpretation Services available
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment.
• No call required.
• Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.

Expectations:

Providers must commit to a schedule including working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Requests for time off must be made upfront during submission and may not be considered post-offer.

References:

Two professional references covering at least one year within the last three years are required during the compliance process and prior to the start date.

Travelers who refuse to float between facilities may face termination of their assignment. Communication devices required for job performance will be provided at no cost to the staff member.
