The position will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.What You Will Do:The Manufacturing Accounting team is seeking a highly motivated individual for an Accounting Specialist position. This position is responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting for P&W’s Manufacturing Operations segment. Key Responsibilities:- Support subsidiary accounting and financial reporting.- Manage significant components of monthly/quarterly close.- Perform advanced analytics (margin analysis, absorption, cost trends, reserve/allowance modeling).- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements and GAAP compliance for owned areas.- Drive process improvements, implement stronger controls.- Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.- Collaborate with a variety of other functional teams including but not limited to Module Center finance, FP&A, Controllers Group, Digital Technologies as needed; ensure accounting compliance upstream.- Support Manufacturing’s control environment through SOX compliance and control review/testing; support subsidiaries with compliance matters.- Assist in internal and external audits related to P&W Operations.- Learn and grow your knowledge around all P&W’s costing methodologies.- Support the PST/S4 project in designing Operations future cost accounting structure.Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 5+ years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.- Proficiency with MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.- Strong ERP experience (SAP & OneStream preferred).- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We Prefer:- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Efficient in use of Office software (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); working knowledge of SAP and BW.- Candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders.- Strong data analytics skills with ability to work with individuals and/or team at all levels.- Desire to learn/incorporate AI in daily work activities to improve team efficiency.Learn More & Apply Now:What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
