Production Manager

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related fieldMinimum of seven years of previous, relevant engineering, operations management experience preferredMinimum of five years of previous supervisory experienceCustomer Focus - Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet of the needs and wants of the customerExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenLeadership Orientation - Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor othersAdaptability - Responds effectively to changes in situation or informationStrong financial analytical skills including cost controlLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S experience preferredERP Power user and Supply Chain experience preferedExcellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skillsStrong team leadership, team building and facilitation skillsMust be able to work in the USSpanish bi-lingual a plusAccountabilities: Plans production operations, establishing priorities to overserve top customers and sequences for manufacturing products.Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.Injects quality into the manufacturing process with focus on continuous improvement and well documented processes and procedures.Reinforces good safety practices, investigates near misses and incidents and works to identify root cause with recommended solutions.Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data and manages Daily Management meetings.Prepares and maintains written correspondence.Resolves problems and triages issues with guidance from HR, General Manager, Safety, Quality and other Ammega DepartmentsCoordinates schedules for production staff and expedites any shortages.Establishes manufacturing goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Develops staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to facilitate personal growth opportunities.Initiates and leads cross-training methodology to increase opportunities and add flexibility.Constantly assesses work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.Ensures operation of equipment and coordinating with Maintenance for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Manages and coaches Team Leads and Production Supervisors and works to positively influence team performance.Administers and enforces Company policies and procedures including timekeeping, safety and performance management, holding employees accountable.Liason with inter-company departments to ensure appropriate schedule attainment, availability of raw materials and quality standards are being met.Full timePosting Date: 2026-09-17
