Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 4x10-hour day shift (06:45 AM - 05:15 PM), typically working every 4th weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, demonstrating competence in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation and consent forms are completed.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with surgical teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions before, during, and after surgery.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required, covering weekday shifts from 3 PM to 7 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 4 years of OR nursing experience.
• Current SC RN license or Compact RN license required prior to start date.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Experience with a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries.
