Production Supervisor

Pregis is Hiring! Job Title: Production Supervisor - Days The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department. The role directs many direct reports and ensures safety, quality, delivery and cost standards are met while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. The individual will also create a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation and collaboration, and will be responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including interviewing, selection and performance management. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production. Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence. Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions. Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment. Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures. Train and understand all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate. Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement. Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in a timely manner. Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties. Self‑motivated with results‑driven approach. Ability to prioritize workload. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Environment Exposure to moving equipment. Inside work. Heat may exceed 90°F. Humidity may exceed 80%. Noise may exceed 85 dB+. Physical Characteristics Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75% of time. Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent typing/keyboarding/ preparing documents, voice‑assisted as needed. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience required. High School diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years’ experience with a minimum 3 years in a supervisory position. Strong background in manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required, with some knowledge of Word/PowerPoint. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary. The range for this role is estimated to be $80,000–$100,000. Compensation details listed in US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits.
