US Cheese, together with our joint venture partner, is the leading supplier and marketer of American-style cheddar cheese in the US.Capital Projects ManagerJob SummaryThe Capital Projects Manager is responsible for leading the execution of a large-scale capital project (~$36M) within a dairy manufacturing facility. You will ensure successful delivery from concept through commissioning while maintaining strict food safety, environmental, and safety compliance. As the Project Manager you will lead cross-functional teams and contractors to integrate new systems with minimal disruption to production. Essential FunctionsLead end-to-end execution of capital project including design, procurement, construction, and startup.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectivesManage contractor safety programs and enforce OSHA and EPA compliance standards.Manage contractors, vendors, and OEMs to ensure quality and schedule adherence.Track project budget (~$36M), manage forecasts, and control costs.Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.Change Management of all scope, documents, drawingsIntegrate the Project Team with the Plant Readiness Team to ensure smooth transition from project work to operations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Food), Project Management or related field.5+ years of capital project experience in dairy or food manufacturing.Experience managing large projects ($20M+).Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.From extending shelf life, to improving flavor, texture and nutrition, our dairy, plant and functional protein solutions can improve the overall quality of a wide range of products.
