This Accountant position is a foundational step in a career path designed to fully prepare individuals to become a Controller or VP of Finance of their own financial operation. The role is critical as it oversees all aspects of financial management, providing essential balance to the marketing and operational pieces of the business. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Tualatin, OR Pay: $60000–$63000 yearly Mission: Execute accounting procedures and principles leading to financial statement preparation and comprehensive financial analysis, contributing to successful business operations. Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word What You’ll Actually Do Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and manage detailed financial records, assisting in broader financial reporting. Audit & Compliance: Perform comprehensive branch audit evaluations and ensure full compliance with established accounting policies and procedures. Account Reconciliation: Assemble precise bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date account schedules. Expense Management: Prepare journal entries, expense accruals, and allocations, actively participating in the timely month-end closing process. Tax Preparation: Compile and prepare state and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. The Must-Haves Background: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. This role is an early career position with a clear path for advancement in financial management. Experience: Must be flexible to relocate outside the local area or state within a 1-3 year period for potential promotional opportunities. A valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years is required. Skills: Must have proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
