Floor Technician

Floor TechnicianThe Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.Roles & ResponsibilitiesComply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and selfWork with other employees in a team to complete assignmentsPerform repetitive tasksMaintain clean work areaFollow all company procedures, policies, and rulesTake direction and respond to supervisionTalk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional mannerFill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenanceSupport shift lead in completing punch-list itemsUse proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasksPresent a professional appearance and conductUnderstand customer service and satisfaction.Understand reporting systems, and of the environmentOperate motorized cleaning equipmentMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areaPerform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet, and brick flooringComplete work assignments in a timely mannerUtilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedureUse and maintain equipment properlyOperate and maintain all equipment correctly and safelyAlways observe safety precautions, using safety signs "wet floor"Ability to work without normal supervisionReport safety hazards as appropriateQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
