Per diem Stress Technician, Cardiac Testing - South Weymouth

Cardiovascular Stress Test Technician

Responsible for administering stress tests to patients to assess their cardiovascular health under the direction of a physician.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
• Apply electrodes and other monitoring devices to patients to measure their heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during the test.
• Administer stress tests, exercise stress tests or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate the patient's cardiovascular health.
• Monitor patients during the stress test and responding to any issues or complications that arise.
• Document results of the stress test and communicating them to the supervising physician.
• Maintain equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly.
• Assist in the scheduling of stress tests and other cardiology procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred

Certified Cardiographic Technician [CCT] - Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred

Experience: Experience in or specialized training in stress testing and cardiovascular health stress testing and cardiovascular health 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure are all important for success in this role.
