Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $21.00hr - $26.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
Preventive and predictive maintenance.
Problem solving and root cause analysis.
Safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
Adaptability in a dynamic pilot plant environment.
Continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve pilot plant processing and packaging equipment.
Support product development, scale-up activities, and manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with food industry standards.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food processing systems and utility equipment.
Minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Maintain and repair retorts, aseptic sterilizers, homogenizers, and high-shear mixers.
Maintain processing vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, and piping systems.
Maintain conveyors and filling and packaging systems.
Support equipment startups, changeovers, and commissioning activities.

Qualification And Education:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to perform maintenance tasks in industrial environments.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
