Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist Weekly Pay: $1718 - $1918 Shift: 12 Hour Night (3x12-hour) Shifts per week: 3 Scheduled Hours: 36 Start Date: 05/19/2026 End Date: 08/18/2026 Duration: 13 Week(s) Assignment Overview This is a 13‑week contract position in Milwaukee (West Allis). Schedule Night shift, 3x12‑hour. Job Description The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, offering intensive respiratory services and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans, explaining treatment purposes and procedures, and providing necessary education upon discharge. Responsibilities Conduct physician‑prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers. Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal). Monitor oximetry and capnography, and review patient’s chest x‑rays. Assist with procedures involving respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Manage tracheostomy care and perform arterial punctures as needed. Complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines. Document all treatments and patient responses accurately on appropriate records. Communicate with attending physicians regarding the effectiveness of therapy administered. Maintain respiratory therapy charging and data entry. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Valid Respiratory Therapy license. Experience in a clinical setting as a Respiratory Therapist.
