($43,300/yr) with no experience, up to $28.75/hr. ($54,100/yr) with 10+ years in the same role Hourly role paid bi-weekly Work-Life Balance 36.25-hour full-time work week (7.25 hours/day) Hybrid work-from-home options 3 weeks’ vacation accrual per year with 1 week allocated immediately upon hire 3 personal days per year 15 sick days allocated upon hire; accrues at 15 days per year after year one with unlimited accrual Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; HRA available for those who opt out of medical coverage FREE medical care and prescriptions through Marathon Health Employer-paid life insurance Tuition reimbursement and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility Wellness incentives and a robust Employee Assistance Program Ohio Public Employees' Retirement System (OPERS): 10% employee / 14% employer contribution Benefits Representative A typical day in the life of a Benefits Representative involves offering assistance and guidance to individuals served by Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services in obtaining and maintaining public benefits such as Medicaid, Social Security, and SNAP. You will be processing documentation presented by individuals served, working in a paperless environment with many virtual forms of communication, document facilitation and filing. You will be working a majority remote schedule, with a minimum of one day per week in office to process physical mail and present for in-person meetings including monthly team meetings. Involves regular facilitation of phone interviews with Job and Family Services workers and close communication with all Hamilton County Developmental Disability Services staff who offer direct support to individuals served. A laptop, monitor, scanner, printer and iPhone are provided by the agency to support the work in this role. You will play an integral part in providing and securing social services for individuals served. Job Duties (Summary): Assists individuals with developmental disabilities in maintaining a good quality of life and facilitates waiver administration by requesting and securing all appropriate documentation from family members and providers and submitting to the Department of Job and Family Services to maintain waiver, Medicaid and/or food stamp eligibility. Maintains all appropriate records associated with waiver eligibility. Works cooperatively and maintains open communication with individuals, family members, team members, providers, and other agency, professional, and community members around Medicaid eligibility. Prepares and maintains other documentation as required; maintains Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities registration. Participates in staff meetings and in-service training. Travels as needed to meeting sites in a safe, efficient and effective manner in accordance with the agency’s procedures. Provides technical support and information to staff, individual providers & others regarding benefits. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Experience with Government Agencies including but not limited to Social Security, Job and Family Services, Medicaid, Medicare, private health insurance companies, County Boards of DD and DD Provider Agencies preferred Ability to travel within Hamilton County as needed Hybrid locations – work is performed both away from the office and at Hamilton County Central Campus: 1701 Patricia McCollum Way, Cincinnati, OH 45237 The flexibility to work from home is available when job duties allow.
