Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: General medical experience required.

Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Unit Details: General medical patient population. Some patients are on telemetry using Phillips monitors; bedside RNs do not read strips, and there is a central station for monitor techs. No vents. Nurse-patient ratios: 1:4/5 on day shift, 1:5/6 on night shift.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Three of six required holidays throughout the year. Call/standby depends on hospital staffing needs.

Floating Requirements: Travel RNs are first to float; otherwise floating is on a rotation of last who floated.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
