Highland Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Memory Care Unit Coordinator to join our growing team!

• Coordinate and oversee engaging, person-centered memory care programming

• Ensure programs comply with company standards and state and federal regulations

• Plan daily activities and coordinate assignments for staff, volunteers, and entertainers

• Complete required documentation and maintain compliance

• Organize special events, family gatherings, educational programs, and holiday celebrations

• Serve as a resource for residents, families, and staff regarding Alzheimer's disease and dementia care

• Assist with dementia-focused education and training for team members

• Communicate with families regarding resident participation, successes, and changing needs

• Observe and report changes in resident behavior or condition to the nursing team

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department planning

• Support Alzheimer's awareness and community outreach efforts

• Assist residents as needed to ensure a safe, engaging, and meaningful environment

• Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership

• Experience working with seniors or individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care is strongly preferred

• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, recreation, activities, or a related field is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Education, Social Work, Recreation Therapy, or a related field is preferred, but not required

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

• Detail-oriented and comfortable with documentation and computer systems

• Compassionate, dependable, creative, and team-oriented

• Passion for enhancing the quality of life for older adults
