Assistant Plant Manager

Now hiring Assistant Plant Manager Location: New Carlisle, OH Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Schedule: 1st Shift Requirements 3-5 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing operations, or a related technical field 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership, project management, and employee development skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, urgent requests, and production demands simultaneously Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Experience with inventory management, production scheduling, and process improvement initiatives Ability to work effectively with production, quality, maintenance, shipping, and receiving teams Strong communication and organizational skills Results-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction Job Duties Support the Plant Manager and serve as backup for daily plant operations Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including personnel, processes, and company drivers Manage raw material, packaging, and consumable inventories Develop and maintain facility-wide standards for cleanliness and organization Monitor high-priority jobs through production to ensure customer delivery and quality requirements are met Identify production schedule challenges and implement corrective actions Serve as a liaison between Quality and Production teams to resolve quality issues Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment issues are addressed quickly and downtime is minimized Drive process optimization, workflow improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives Train, coach, and develop employees across multiple departments Support waste reduction and rework minimization efforts Assist in creating solutions that improve productivity, customer service, and overall plant performance Benefits Solid Pay that rewards your hustle Medical, Dental, Vision + Life Insurance to keep you covered Optional 401(k) so your future's looking good Employee Discounts on stuff you'll actually want Staffmark is an equal opportunity employer.
