About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Gastroenterology & Bronchoscopy Procedures – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Schedule: 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Weeknight call required. Flexibility needed to complete daily procedure schedules.

Highlights:

• Provide direct patient care during GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation using an RN-driven assessment approach based on the Ramsay Sedation Scale
• Manage pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Work within a Level 1 Academic Trauma Center environment utilizing Epic EMR system
• Daily census of 20-25 procedures across 4 procedural rooms with a 1:1 patient ratio
• 32-hour comprehensive orientation period provided

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license (pending Wisconsin license accepted upon submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in procedural sedation and recovery for GI and pulmonary procedures
• Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic facility experience required
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in airway management, administering conscious sedation, IV therapy, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Must pass telemetry competency examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• CGRN certification preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
