About the Position

Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital ICU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Preferred Description: This position is for a travel RN in the ICU. The unit has 28 beds divided into two pods for patient care. Pod A has been recently expanded and consists of 12 beds. Pod B contains 16 beds. The staff includes experienced nurses and critical care technicians. Patient ratios typically range from 1:2 to 1:1 or 1:3 based on acuity. Common medical equipment used includes Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, and GE bedside monitors. Candidates should possess strong critical care skills and a patient-centered attitude. Flexibility and a willingness to assist the team are essential qualities. The facility is preparing for a level II trauma survey this year. Staff members have a range of experience, with some having more than 20 years of service. Support from intensivists is available 24/7, enhancing the learning environment.
