Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Associate with significant US equity capital markets experience to join its Capital Markets practice in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border equity and debt capital markets transactions. Duties Advise public and private companies, underwriters, and financial institutions on capital markets transactions. Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation. Support public company clients with SEC reporting and disclosure matters. Manage drafting processes and coordinate execution with partners and clients. Work on capital markets-adjacent M&A and strategic transactions. Collaborate with colleagues across various practices to deliver integrated solutions. Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership through writing and submissions. Requirements Approximately 4+ years of relevant law firm or in‑house transactional experience. Experience advising on equity and/or debt capital markets transactions. Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with SEC reporting and disclosure requirements. Commercial awareness and ability to see the broader business context. Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills. Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and perform well under pressure. Client‑service oriented, collaborative, and proactive. Fluency in English; international experience is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or LL.M./foreign equivalent) from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to become admitted) and in good standing.
