Job Summary MIG Welder job at Container Products Company. Currie, NC. MIG Welder (Metal Container Fabrication) We are an established company looking for experienced, hardworking, quality employees with a strong work ethic. The welding process we primarily use is MIG; welding steel, aluminum & stainless steel sheet, and structural components. Our employees work a regular day shift Mon-Thur 5:30 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours), overtime is sometimes necessary and mandatory. The pay range for the starting position is $18-$22 per hour, depending on weld test results. Evaluations are performed after the first 90 days and then annually. Requirements Dependable/Responsible. Ability to pass a weld test. Able to follow directions and work in a team-oriented environment. Able to measure and/or mark reference points or cutting lines on work pieces. Ability to certify on steel MIG welding process. Ability to certify on aluminum MIG welding process. (not required). Able to climb ladders and in/out containers. Be able to follow Company and general industry safety requirements. Be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Willing and able to follow basic safety and quality procedures. Ability to lift up to 75lbs. Must wear steel toe boots. Must have a clean drug screen. Be able to operate a forklift. (will train). Experience Warehouse or Shop: 1 year (Preferred).
