PainterTague Lumber is seeking a skilled in-house, full-time, year-round painter to paint interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of Tague buildings, primarily located in the Greater Philadelphia area. This position will travel to different locations throughout the week. The successful candidate will be able to select the right material for the job, and have experience painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and possess great attention to detail in completing their duties.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Travel to Tague facilities and communicate with managers to determine painting requirementsMaintain a color palette including specific colors to be used for different items at each locationCover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings to keep them free of paintPrepare surfaces to be paintedMix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to job specificationsPrecisely apply paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using the appropriate toolsPerform basic carpentry work, such as preparing walls and other surfaces through sanding, taping off outlets, repairing cracks, etc.Maintain an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers, and tarpsComply with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practicesBuild scaffolding according to safety regulationsMaintains a clean work areaKnowledge, Skills & Abilities5+ years of commercial/residential painting experience both interior and exteriorPossess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Tague's minimal MVR standardsAbility to obtain and maintain a Medical Card for driving commercial vehiclesObtain certification to work on a scissor lift. Tague will provide the necessary training.Ability to paint with precisionAbility to perform basic carpentry workA keen eye for detailExperience with moving jobs forward with little directions from othersWork EnvironmentRequires work inside and outside of buildings, frequent heavy lifting required.
