Associate Medical Director – Primary Care
$320K–$350K Base + Up to $27,500 Incentive + $10K Bilingual Bonus
New leadership position reporting directly to the CMO with relocation assistance available.
About the Organization
For more than five decades this community-based health system has provided high-quality, integrated primary care focused on prevention, wellness, and improving health outcomes. Operating within an established Patient‑Centred Medical Home (PCMH) model, the organization is known for its collaborative culture and strong provider retention.
Responsibilities
- Mentor, coach, and develop approximately 22 physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Support provider recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, and privileging.
- Improve quality metrics, clinical performance, and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
- Lead quality improvement and strategic initiatives throughout the network.
- Collaborate with nursing, behavioral health, operations, and executive leadership to strengthen integrated care.
- Guide PCMH initiatives and clinical best practices.
- Support special projects in medical education, homeless medicine, community outreach, and provider development.
- Provide 40% outpatient clinical care while working closely with the CMO.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB/GYN.
- Minimum 2–4 years of physician leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in an FQHC or PCMH environment.
- Active California medical license (or eligible).
- Passion for mentoring providers, improving quality, and leading collaborative teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary $320K–$350K.
- Up to $27,500 annual incentive.
- $10K Bilingual bonus.
- Relocation assistance.
- Full‑time, on‑site position with travel between two clinics approximately 20 minutes apart.
