Description of Work We are currently recruiting for a Physician at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The major responsibility of the Physician is to assure optimum patient care and medical management of patients at Central Regional Hospital. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – Preferred Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of general, preventive medicine and of the techniques involved. Thorough knowledge of biological, social, and psychological developmental processes at all ages. Thorough knowledge of the practice and theories of the medical specialty or subspecialty to which assigned. Skill in treating and diagnosing a variety of diseases and injuries in the practice of an applicable specialty of medicine. Ability to assess and interpret laboratory results, clinical data and information relative to the patient’s condition. Salary Range $147,932.00 - $295,863.00 Sign‑On Bonus Up to $20,000 may be offered contingent on 2025‑2026 budget approval. Sign‑On Bonus Eligibility Must be a newly hired permanent full‑time or permanent part‑time employee working 30‑40 hours per week. Eligibility is prorated for those working Ineligible if the employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months. Ineligible if the employee has previously received a sign‑on bonus from any State agency. Ineligible if DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees. Benefits This is a full‑time position eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. Normal working hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with rotating call and flexibility required to meet hospital needs.
