About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team. The CFO will be the senior financial leader, responsible for the overall financial management of the organization. This includes accounting oversight, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash management, investment and endowment oversight, financial reporting, audit coordination, compliance, and long-range financial planning. The successful candidate will be a strategic, mission-driven, and collaborative leader, capable of partnering with executive and volunteer leadership, community stakeholders, and external advisors to shape the future of the organization and the broader community. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a CPA strongly preferred and an MBA or advanced degree also preferred. A minimum of 15 years of financial leadership experience is required, with a strong preference for those with a background in nonprofit, foundation, endowment, philanthropic, or community organizations. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in building trusted relationships, a strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, and experience in financial systems and technology-enabled process improvement. The CFO will also be responsible for leading and developing a finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring operational excellence in financial and related functions.
