Job Description The Emergency Department Technician I reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician I performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Educational Requirements Graduate of an EMT/Paramedic, nurse or medical assisting program. Credentials Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 weeks of hire and must be maintained thereafter. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
