Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neuro ICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701 Start Date: September 22, 2026 Location: Tyler, Texas Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Float to ICU/IMC/Tele as needed. Highlights: 13-week travel assignment in a Neuro ICU with 16 beds and an average daily census of 14 patients Work with a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more Epic charting system utilized for documentation Orientation provided with 36 hours allocated for onboarding Opportunity to work with complex neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury, CVA/acute stroke, post-craniotomy, and spinal cord injury patients One pre-approved time off period available during contract Requirements: Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal) Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU experience required Previous travel experience preferred Epic charting system experience required Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Skills required: blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, lumbar drains, post-craniotomy care, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris Why Join Us?
