Position Summary Saturday – Tuesday, 1:30 PM PST – 12:00 AM PST Overview Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. The role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, the technician will adhere to established maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, cleaning, and repair work. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment). Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Position Requirements 18 years or older High School Diploma or equivalent Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time Can move up and down ladders frequently Comfortable working at heights frequently Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Able to work in various temperatures. Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade. Preferred Qualifications Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years. Mechanics or construction‑related experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls. Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software. Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
