Senior Accountant

Position Overview: Cult Gaia is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy across financial processes. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and broader Finance team to execute key components of the accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash activity, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting ongoing process improvements as the business continues to grow. Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Manage day-to-day accounts receivable processes for domestic and international customers Support collections efforts, including outreach to customers regarding outstanding balances Prepare and issue proforma invoices Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with internal teams Maintain accurate aging reports and assist in tracking overdue accounts Support credit management processes, including order holds and releases Accounts Payable Process and manage accounts payable transactions through centralized systems Assist with vendor onboarding, including collecting W-9s and maintaining accurate records Input and validate invoices in Bill.com and ensure proper coding and documentation Match purchase orders within ERP systems (RLM) against invoices Support credit card expense tracking and reconciliation Cash & Reconciliations Apply and post cash transactions to accounts receivable and accounts payable Assist with daily and monthly cash reconciliations Support monitoring of cash activity to ensure accurate recording Month-End Close Support the month-end close process, including: Preparing account reconciliations Assisting with journal entries Reconciling bank and cash accounts Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data within required timelines General Accounting & Support Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Assist with audit requests and ad hoc reporting as needed Support process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve accounting-related issues Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 3–5+ years of accounting experience (retail or consumer goods experience preferred) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms (RLM, BlueCherry a plus) Experience with Bill.com or similar AP systems preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively #J-18808-Ljbffr CULT GAIA
