Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract in Glendive, Montana. The position offers up to $2,100 per week and a full-time schedule with immediate interview opportunities. The assistant delivers individualized therapy under a licensed occupational therapist to improve patient independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient independence and functional performance
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Facilitate therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and mobility
• Monitor patient progress and communicate outcomes to the supervising occupational therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Promote patient safety and quality care throughout the rehabilitation process

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
• Current Montana Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Skills:

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Previous Occupational Therapy Assistant experience
• Experience working with geriatric, orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical patient populations
