Reading Interventionist
The Reading Interventionist will provide targeted support and intervention strategies for students struggling with reading proficiency. The Reading Interventionist will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to identify specific literacy challenges faced by students and assist in developing individualized intervention plans aimed at fostering reading development. By implementing evidence-based practices and instructional strategies, the Reading Interventionist will work with students to improve their reading skills and increase their overall academic performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing students' reading abilities and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop reading intervention plans for students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with classroom instruction.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust interventions based on individual needs.
- Provide one-on-one and small group reading instruction using research-based methodologies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in reading instruction.
