Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora
Department: UCHA Eye Surgery Center
Work Schedule: Full Time, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days . This position is 4 days a week, No Nights, No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays!
Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary :
Demonstrates skills needed to perform as a proficient certified surgical technologist.
Responsibilities :
Independently scrub ophthalmic surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
Anticipate surgeon needs and prepare instruments and supplies.
Maintain patient safety through accurate counts, medication safety, and sharp safety.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and service specialists to optimize surgical workflows.
Serve as a mentor and preceptor for other surgical technologists.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (or military equivalent)
Colorado DORA Surgical Technologist Registration
Current CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
