You will build and manage relationships with in‑house teams and contractors while providing design and consulting services to facility managers and owners. Projects include decarbonization/electrification, higher education, K‑12, sports, and manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities Support civil engineering designs and grow technical responsibility through hands‑on project experience. Complete routine engineering calculations using standard methods, references, and software tools. Research and select materials and components using engineering references and product literature. Read and interpret engineering drawings, including discipline‑specific nomenclature and plan set content. Assist with hydrologic analyses, site layout, grading, utility, drainage, and sedimentation/erosion control designs for planning, permitting, and construction phases. Design roadway and parking layouts, overall site grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, domestic water, fire protection, thermal distribution, electrical and telecommunication infrastructure, and site lighting. Use engineering software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Hydraflow, and SewerGEMS. Review plans and collaborate with project engineers and other team members to resolve design challenges. Provide timely services that meet client needs and overall project schedule requirements. Qualifications and Experience BS in Civil Engineering and plan to take or have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam. Working knowledge of civil analysis and design software (Civil 3D preferred). Hybrid position: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote (other arrangements considered). Ability to travel to project sites. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and e‑mail applications. Effective interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication. Confident and ambitious problem‑solver. Adaptable, flexible, and willing to work on various projects and tasks. Experience Level Less than 2 years: Entry‑level. Location Bloomfield, CT / Newton, MA / Bloomington, MN Travel Up to 10% Salary Base salary range: $75,000 – $80,000 USD per year, plus performance‑based bonuses.
