Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Summary:

RN BHU delivers high-quality psychiatric nursing care during nightshift 12-hour shifts on a per diem basis. The role focuses on ensuring patient safety, monitoring clinical status, and coordinating care in a behavioral health environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide therapeutic nursing care for patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs.
Monitor vital signs, behavioral changes, and clinical indicators and report findings promptly.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
Perform nursing assessments, develop/update nursing documentation, and maintain accurate records.
Respond to emergent patient situations using appropriate de-escalation and safety procedures.
Maintain compliance with infection control practices and required safety/clinical standards.

Qualifications:

Hold an active Registered Nurse license with verifiable standing.
Maintain current BLS certification.
Maintain current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable to the role.
Provide proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or acceptable attestation/declination.
Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
Exhibit sound judgment, professionalism, and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
