Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU

Registered Nurse – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours), Days or Nights

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience
• EPIC experience required
• Valid state or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Required certifications: BCLS (BLS), ACLS, NIHSS — AHA certifications only

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Monitor and manage vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Implement and adhere to best practices in infection control and safety protocols.

Compliance / Notes:

• RN submission requirements: valid compact or state license in hand at the time of submission; 2 professional references required (1 must be manager/director).
• Strict credentialing/fingerprinting timeline: compliance deadline is the Tuesday prior to start.
• Candidates unresponsive to credentialing risk push/cancel.
• RTO required with submission (must be built into the contract).
