The Clinic Registered Nurse plays a critical role within a small nursing team, directly reporting to the Nurse Manager. This position focuses on delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with a mix of chronic and acute conditions, particularly in oncology. The nurse is responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, and education, ensuring high standards of infection control and emergency responsiveness in a collaborative clinical setting.

 

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00) - Monday-Friday, No Weekends

Facility Setting: Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology

 

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with focus on oncology and chronic/acute conditions
• Administer medications safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient status regularly
• Coordinate patient care with healthcare team members
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation
• Implement infection control protocols
• Educate patients on health management and treatment plans
• Respond promptly to emergencies
• Collaborate effectively within a small nursing team

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in radiation oncology
• Prefer they have radiation experience
• Strong skills in patient assessment and medication administration
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and infection control
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Critical thinking abilities
