Job Location: Louisville, KY + New Albany, IN (Two Openings) Base Salary: $60K-$90K

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial for supporting our financial operations and providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns for individuals, S Corporations, and partnerships
• Support audits and tax filings as required
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or relevant accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of staff accounting principles and practices
• Experience with tax preparation for individuals and partnerships
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
