Assists with treatments ordered by the provider under supervision. Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations. Performs basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing. Orders and stocks supplies, ensuring a clean and orderly environment. Documents provider encounters with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions. Transcribes patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications. Provides patient education and explanations of risks and benefits. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to perform procedures and treatments. Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and medical procedures. Ensures compliance with clinical policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Education: High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Work Experience: 1+ years of experience as medical assistant in primary care and/or specialty clinic [Preferred] Customer service experience in medical office [Preferred] Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) [Required] OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) [Required] OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) [Required] OR National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) [Required] OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) [Required] OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) [Required] Physical Requirements: Please click the link below to view work requirements.
