Screens and refers all incoming calls and office visitors to ensure that accurate and timely office communications are facilitated and that office is maintained in a positive manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as first point of contact for Physical Therapy Services
- Greets and assists guests, visitors, patients, and other personnel.
- Answers multi line telephone routing calls to the appropriate area and taking and delivering.
Enters and reconciles daily charges.
- Accurately types or generates reports, logs, or other special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
- Enters and totals all daily charges for speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
Coordinates patient and therapist appointments.
- Schedules patient appointments in scheduling system.
- Blocks out schedules for Therapist or assistant absences.
Filing
- Files documents on charts for MHCC
Statistician
- Maintains daily statistics for Extended Care Services.

- Maintains HIPAA, keeping patient and hospital confidentiality
- Maintains adequate supplies of items needed to perform job, orders, or reports low items to supervisor.
- Practices proper phone etiquette, identifying self and department.
- Reports adverse events regarding patients, guests, or self to supervisor immediately.

Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Licensure, Registry, Certification:
- None required.
Personal Job related skills:
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Knowledge of general clerical duties.
Experience:
Prior Work Experience:
- One year experience in an office environment.
Technical Training:
- Typing 35 wpm
