Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

This position involves the evaluation and treatment of outpatient clients. The Physical Therapist will develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes responsible delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to formulate appropriate treatment plans and goals, aiming for timely discharge.
• Document patient care clearly, accurately, and promptly as per organizational policies and in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
• Participate in student training programs, offering supervision and support as needed.
• Create and pursue a professional development plan, engaging in continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure requirements.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback to maximize quality outcomes.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week on a 5x8 schedule.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for practice.
