We are a small, independent and very successful trucking company (assets & brokerage) located in Southwest Georgia (Approx 90 miles from Atlanta). We have built up a consistent and substantial business over the last 25 years to include freight brokerage and a fleet of 25 dry van trucks/trailers. With this growth and success we are looking for an experienced Freight Broker /Operations Specialist to come on board to manage the brokerage department.

• Make good and profitable business decisions while also making sure the customer is completely satisfied.

• Manage and grow relationships with our existing customers
• Develop new customer accounts and generate new business
• Quote and negotiate freight rates
• Find and negotiate with qualified carriers
• Book and coordinate dry van loads
• Track shipments from pickup through delivery
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and drivers
• Handle rate confirmations and necessary paperwork
• Resolve service issues quickly and professionally
• Help increase our daily load volume and brokerage revenue

What We’re Looking For

• 1–6 years of freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation experience preferred
• Dry van, truck load experience preferred
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Comfortable with sales, negotiating, and developing new business
• Organized and able to manage multiple loads at once
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work out of the company’s office in Columbus GA

Compensation

Competitive salary + commission

Salary is based on experience and qualifications , with additional earning potential through commissions.
