MRI Technologist PRN

Job Summary MRI Technologist PRN with HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. Provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. Must be Florida‑licensed and will work under the direction of a radiologist. Responsibilities Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation. Facilitate MRI procedures by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material. Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated. Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time. Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist. Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies. Accept on‑call and call‑back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care. Qualifications Graduate of a 2‑year AMA‑approved School of Radiologic Technology. 1‑3 years previous experience as an MRI Technologist. Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT). Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer‑relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading/comprehension of written instructions, following verbal instructions, computer, and clerical skills.
