Exercise Physiologist

Inova Weight Loss Services - Fair Oaks is looking for a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join the team. This role will include a flexible schedule between 4pm - 7pm. Exercise Physiologist Job Responsibilities: Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidity and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review. Reviews Individual Treatment Plans. Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient. Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation. Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or Kinesiology. License: American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) required upon start for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs OR American Association of Cardiovascular and pulmonary Rehabilitation - Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR CCRP) OR an equivalent advanced certification based on other hiring department Experience : Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association within 6 months Preferred Requirements: Patient focused approach to patient well-being and recovery Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team in a collaborative innovative environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Inova Health System
