Key Qualifications:

• Licensed in Adapted Curriculum for the state of North Carolina (required for Discovery School opening)
• Experience or willingness to work with middle and high school students, including those with high levels of autism on extended content standards
• Strong ability to adapt to new settings and diverse student populations
• Previous experience in resource/inclusion settings preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to caseloads of 15–18 students, ranging from middle to high school ages
• Support students following adapted or extended content standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
