About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Material Handler II to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts and industrial machinery, manage inbound and outbound materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist with safety initiatives to ensure a clean and organized workspace. This position plays a vital role in supporting production and logistics processes, with opportunities for full-time employment based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, including sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks, to unload, move, and load materials within the facility, yard, or work site.
• Manage inbound and outbound materials processing, including receiving, quality verification, and inventory organization.
• Accurately enter Goods Receipt data into SAP or similar ERP systems (training provided).
• Open containers using hand tools, remove scrap, and restack inventory while maintaining workspace cleanliness.
• Secure and transport materials using hand trucks, cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
• Assemble crates and containers for transportation or storage of products such as machines or vehicles.
• Manage kanban storage areas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and material handling.
• Support production by assisting with equipment movement and distribution tasks.
• Perform housekeeping duties to support safety and environmental standards.
• Provide backup for receiving and distribution operations and support various project needs as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Valid forklift certification with demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation; successful completion of internal safety evaluations required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting 50 lbs or more, climbing, bending, and twisting for extended periods.
• Experience operating forklift equipment, electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, cranes, and hoists.
• Basic computer literacy; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in rugged or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to operational changes.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This position requires physical stamina to stand, walk, lift (50 lbs+), climb, bend, and twist for prolonged periods. You will be working in a manufacturing or industrial environment that may be rugged and noisy. A safety-conscious approach and adherence to safety standards are essential.
