Immigration Services Legal Program Manager, The Legal Project

Job Title

Responsibilities:

Conduct confidential telephone and/or in-person intakes for immigrants seeking services and assess client's needs and take appropriate action and accurately record information relating to caller's experiences, and assess the individual's needs and take appropriate action

Manage, coordinate and schedule legal consultations and legal clinics for immigration staff attorneys

Communicate with the Immigration Program Manager and Supervising Immigration Attorney regarding potential clients, current clients, and all other program related issues • Complete all record keeping related to client files including but not limited to conflict checks, opening and closing of physical and computer files, logging of all telephone calls, data entry of client information into appropriate databases, and other related paperwork

Provide case management services to Immigration clients as needed

Develop relationships and communicate with attorneys on The Legal Project's Pro Bono Immigration Panel

Develop and maintain referral resources and serve as linkage between clients and community resources

Participate in team problem solving to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of programs

Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and/or degree in Paralegal Studies preferred.

Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish language is required

Experience in providing direct services in a non-profit organization is desired 4. Training and/or experience with trauma informed care is preferred.

Thoroughness, organization and attention to detail.

Ability to lead, motivate and inspire others as a team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to plan, take responsibility, set priorities and delegate effectively. Commitment to team approach in legal services.

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization
