Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in patient care and support.
Responsibilities
Medication reminders
Support clients who can’t move on their own
Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.
Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions
Help customers with their shopping
Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
Provide companionship and conversation
Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
Experience as a personal care assistant is preferred
Expierence with mental illness
Committed to health & safety
Able to do housework and cooking
Well-organized and reliable
Excellent communication and people skills
A positive and compassionate attitude
Strong ethics
Physical stamina
CPR & First Aid
Able to lift up to 30lbs
Qualifications:
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Patience
Ability to build rapport with clients
First Aid Certification
CPR Certification
Reliable Transportation
Clean MD state criminal background check
TB Screening & Basic Physical Assessment
