Yelp is seeking a Senior Analyst to help drive marketing efforts that support continued revenue growth. In this role, you’ll be joining the Marketing Analytics Team at Yelp, a centralized consulting team that helps drive consumer and business growth through multiple channels, including email, push, paid advertising, web marketing, and more. Your day-to-day responsibilities will range from informing broader marketing strategy to analyzing the efficacy of new campaigns. Expect to collaborate with stakeholders, including senior leaders, to provide a data-driven lens on marketing decisions. Data is at the core of everything we do, and you will play a critical role in equipping the marketing organization with the insight needed to make scalable strategic decisions. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States. What You'll Do Enhance our marketing strategy by partnering with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of core needs and leveraging your analytical expertise to develop scalable solutions that anticipate future needs and improve business performance. Become a subject matter expert on Yelp’s marketing metrics and relevant data sources. Leverage analytical tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.) to build analytical storylines and support reporting functions. Identify opportunities to leverage new data and new ways to look at existing data that drive incremental insights and learnings. Exercise sound business judgment and influence the direction of Yelp’s business by effectively working with and communicating results to cross-functional groups. What It Takes To Succeed 2+ years of relevant business experience solving analytical problems and deriving insights using quantitative approaches. Experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or private equity fund, or analytical role at a fast-paced B2C or marketplace tech company. Superior hands-on analytic skills, including SQL, advanced Excel modeling, and Tableau dashboard building required. Business acumen and an enthusiasm for marketing strategy, customer segmentation, and user growth. Understanding of statistical significance and experience with A/B testing and experimentation for web or software. Exceptional problem solver with the ability to transition between detailed data and high-level insights to drive decisions. Proactive collaboration and communication within your team and cross-functional groups.
