The Industrial Engineer develops systems for managing KHS USA production processes to improve efficiency and profitability. The IE executes improvement tactics based on empirical data related to yield, cycle time and waste reduction.

Your Responsibilities:

• Tests and evaluates integrated systems for managing manufacturing processes, uses analysis of human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
• In collaboration with production leaders and personnel, coordinates continuous improvement/lean initiatives for all KHS facilities in alignment with KHS GmbH programs.
• Facilitates work teams to make production operations more efficient and profitable; tracks process improvement strategies, objectives, milestones, and metrics.
• Reviews production schedules, work orders, engineering specifications, and related information to estimate manufacturing costs, design cost saving methods, and determine the effects of process changes on costs and quality; provides reports for management review, action, and control.
• Creation and maintenance of work instructions
• Works to reduce working capital by implementing methods and systems to ensure a more effective and efficient level of inventory.
• Communicates best practices throughout the organization.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Five years experience with lean systems and integration in a manufacturing environment
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Experience in TPS or SME 5S Lean certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel 10% using all forms of public transport including air travel.
• Valid drivers' license and passport.
